Stop the Ban on Portable Signs in Kelowna
Did you know that the City of Kelowna is proposing a new bylaw on the use of portable signs? This bylaw proposes to:
Ban portable signs outright OR
Restrict portable signs in terms of design - lettering size and colour, and in terms of length of time your signs can stay up.
For many small businesses in Kelowna, portable signs are a cost-effective - and in many cases the only - form of advertising we have to market our business and garner customers. A ban, or restriction, on these will have a direct impact on our bottom lines.
Please help us, and your own businesses, stay in business by showing your support AGAINST the bylaw. You can do this in one of two ways:
By emailing the City of Kelowna Mayor and Council at [email protected], asking for fair treatment of portable signs. (Click on the email address link and find an email drafted for you - please feel free to edit and personalize as you see fit and to match your own business concerns. You can also download a copy of the pre-drafted letter here.)
You can request a copy of our petition for your completion by emailing us on [email protected].
We truly appreciate your business over the years and hope that, together, we can keep this important tool in play to help market our small businesses. We are so grateful to be part of this amazingly supportive community of small businesses and would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your help in this matter.
Thanking you most sincerely in advance for your support,
